Lynn English, Managing Partner, English Hudson
Lynn English is Managing Partner for English Hudson, a consulting practice grounded in racial justice and dedicated to liberation for BIPOC communities. Lynn has served as a fundraising executive for many organizations and is the co-author of Winning Grants, Step by Step, 5th Edition. Lynn has managed cross-functional teams of many sizes and coached and developed executives and board members using human-centered design principles. Lynn holds a B.A. from Georgetown University and a M.A. in English Literature from the University of Maryland at College Park.
Marlissa Hudson, Managing Partner, English Hudson
Marlissa Hudson is Managing Partner for English Hudson, a consulting practice grounded in racial justice and dedicated to liberation for BIPOC communities. She has many years of successful collaborations in both the nonprofit and private sectors, including a niche in corporate engagement and major gift fundraising. Marlissa enjoyed 20+ years as a lyric coloratura soprano prior to forming English Hudson, including performances with the Saint Louis Symphony and at Carnegie Hall. Marlissa graduated from Duke University with a B.A. in music and sociology and received her Master of Music from the Peabody Institute of Johns Hopkins University.
Ron Nicholson, Executive Director, BECAUSEICAN, INC.
Ron Nicholson is a Computer Engineer with over 30 years of experience in Information Technology. Mr. Nicholson has spent most of his career working for Georgetown University in the Main Campus Information Technology department. His Operational Team was responsible for bringing virtualization technology to Georgetown University. Mr. Nicholson is a Co-Founder and currently serves as Executive Director for BCAUSEICAN INC, a 501c3 non-profit that conducts STEM Computer Coding classes to youth in underserved communities. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from N.C. State University.
India Gary-Martin, CEO Leadership For Execs
India Gary-Martin is a sought-after leadership expert, portfolio board director, and strategist who works with boards, CEOs, and their leadership teams in both executive coaching and organizational transformation capacities. A 25-year veteran of Financial Services and member of the Forbes Coaches Council, she is also the CEO of Leadership for Execs, a multi-disciplinary advisory firm that operates at the intersection of leadership, diversity, equity, inclusion, and sustainability.
Dr. Philipia Hillman, Founder, The October Group
Throughout her career, Philipia has supported leaders as they navigate the complexity of cultural transformation, strategy, and leadership. She holds a BA in journalism from Howard University and a PhD in sociology from American University. Her certifications include coaching, organizational development, Emotional Intelligence, and facilitation. They provide a wide lens to observe, analyze, and appreciate the interplay of professional and personal concerns with business performance and growth. Philipia lives in DC with her family and uses her talents volunteering on social sector boards. She enjoys amazing meals accompanied by thought provoking conversation and international travel.
